Malcolm Gladwell stated that “Researchers have settled on what they believe is the magic number for true expertise: 10,000 hours.” Imperyo were fascinated by how this theory could be applied to anyone, even if they have expressed no talent in the area previously, the rule means that after 10,000 hours they would be an expert in their chosen area– all it takes is practice. However, Imperyo suggest that those without a strong work ethic are often not willing to put in those hours of practice and therefore will not achieve success in this area.
